My big, scary, slightly overwhelming and incredibly exciting dream; I want to write!

by Tara Fitness

Of late, I’ve been trying to figure out where I want to go next. After closing my online fitness business in June, I felt all out of ideas . I felt like everything on my career to-do list had a big, red strike through the middle of it.

So, for the last three months, I’ve been strolling merrily through the market of online entrepreneurship. I’ve taken a bite of a few cupcakes – web design was tasty, but I wouldn’t say my favourite flavour; marketing was so bitter I took a bite, then spat it out.

Overwhelmingly, I’ve felt as though I’ve only discovered what I DON’T want to do…

But they say:

Failure isn’t the opposite of success; it’s part of it .

– Arriana Huffington

And I thoroughly believe this is the case. I’m confident I’m failing my way to freedom.

The one shred of consistency in what I’ve enjoyed throughout 2018, regardless of subject, venture, success or failure, is writing. Aside from my incredible Chemex brewed morning coffee from the crew at Pact UK, writing is what motivates me to get out of bed in the morning.

In hindsight, I’ve always thought that I might like to write a book someday. When I was at university studying a Bachelor of Criminology, I considered writing a criminology textbook. As a personal trainer and foodie, I’ve had many an idea from workout manual to cookbook and every variation in between. I love to travel, so that’s got a look in on the book ideas list too.

I’m starting to consider that, while I’ve been fighting with writing all these years, perhaps it’s been calling me… and only over the last 6 months have I started to listen.

So, it’s without further ado that I announce my big, scary, slightly overwhelming and incredibly exciting dream:

I want to write a book…

or two books, or three…

but let’s start with one and work our way up from there.

But alas, I have to eat, and spending 6 months writing a book is a long time go to without food.

So, I’m offering writing services too. Website copy, email content and blog posts to be exact.

If your business could benefit from having a regular writer whipping up your content so you can focus on what you do best, fold yourself a paper plan and sling it in my direction. Then we’ll make a time to chat to see I’m a good fit for your business writing needs.
