by Tara Fitness

Hey, I’m Tara from Tara Fitness Personal Training. I recently graduated from the Online Trainer Academy. Here’s my take on the course (3 minute video or 3 minute read).

Should you join the Online Trainer Academy?

In short, yes and no. Let me explain…

If you’re looking to copy a sales funnel and marketing strategy so you can build your 6 figure online coaching business within the next 6 months… you won’t find it in the OTA. If you’re considering online training because you think it’s your golden ticket to fame and fortune… you won’t find what you’re looking for in the Online Trainer Academy. If, however, you’re happy to play the long game by prioritising relationships and client support… the OTA is definitely for you.

Additional Work

My OTA textbook contains 39 chapters and every one of them requires additional work. If you read the textbook, do the test, get certified and nothing more, you’ll miss the point of the OTA. Sure it’s great to promote that you’re certified, but that won’t suddenly create a business. This course gives you a step by step guide to building your online coaching business. The content is all there, the strategies are real but they are not quick fixes. This program requires you to play the long game; the same game you should be teaching your clients.

Should you join the Online Trainer Academy?

I know you came here looking for the answer to your question ‘should I join the OTA’. But the fact is, you’re asking the wrong question. The only question you really need to ask is:

‘Am I prepared to do the work’?

If you’re not willing and able to implement the strategies in the OTA, you’ll end up with a very expensive set of books, and not a lot more. However, if you’re serious about online training and willing to do what it takes, this course is a must.

If you’re still on the fence I’d highly recommend you visit the Online Trainer Academy website and read everything. Alternatively, grab one or all of Jon’s books and read them ASAP. If you get any of these books (links below), pretty quickly you’ll pick up Jon’s style and start to understand his methods. If they resonate with you, make sure you jump on the OTA next time enrolment opens. Like I said, if you’re prepared to do the work, you won’t regret it.

Three quick tips before I let you go:

  1. Click here to read the Online Trainer Academy FAQ’s to find the answer to any practical questions you have, like ‘how much is it’, ‘is there a payment plan’ and ‘how long does it take’.
  2. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the FAQ page and join the waiting list. Not only do you get early bird access, but you also get a discount.
  3. Lastly, if you still have questions and want to chat to an OTA grad, feel free to send me an email at [email protected]

Update: OTA Review 12 Months Later

July 2018 – I wrote another review talking about how I’ve implemented the OTA in my business since I completed it. Click here to read it.

Disclaimer: I am an affiliate of the OTA and do receive commissions if you sign up using my links. That said, there is no way I would promote this course if I didn’t believe it was worth every cent. Even if I wasn’t receiving a commission (which I may not as you may have already joined the waiting list), I would still stand by everything I’ve said in this course. I believe if you enrol in the course, and do the work, you will be able to build a successful online training business.
