break the silence,

get freelance clients.

Kickstart your freelance business and get your first client
by the end of the month
(even if getting clients has been
harder than pulling hen's teeth).

Freelancing is a lot like skiing.

You have to work hard to get to the top of the mountain before
you can enjoy the ride back down...

Unless you catch a lift, that is.

If you’ve attempted to start freelance business in the past, I’m guessing you’ve tried:

  • blogging for exposure but you're lucky to get 10 views on every post;
  • email marketing but you’ve got more people hitting unsubscribe than are joining your list;
  • private messaging every one of your 527 Facebook friends once, twice or three times over with few replies; or
  • paid advertising which gets your hopes up right before it drains your bank account;

But no matter how much time and effort you put in, you couldn’t get enough clients to make ends meet.

I know I couldn’t!

Here’s the thing. Those strategies all work when you execute them well, but they’re long term strategies that can take months or even years to pay off.

How are you supposed to survive in the meantime?

It’s a question I used to ask myself until I stumbled upon the answer… I call it my ‘Secret Startup Skill’.

As the name suggests, the secret skill got me started, keeping my head above water until the longer-term lead generation strategies started to pay dividends.

BUT… hasn’t Covid-19 CRIPPLED freelancers?

It might seem counter intuitive considering we’re in the midst of a global pandemic, but right now is an incredible time to start your own freelance business, and begin preparing for whatever emergency we face next.

Don’t believe me?

Pre-pandemic, I had just one recurring client. I’m studying full-time for my Masters so I wasn’t looking too hard for clients anyway.

Just a few short months later, with the global pandemic in full swing, I’m working with 5 separate retainer clients and I consistently get 4-5 messages per week from people who want to work with me. I’ve had to outsource some work and start a waiting list because I’ve got so many leads coming in the door.

You’re probably thinking, “I bet you’ve been freelancing for years”.

Honest truth, I’ve been working online for a while. But if you check out any of the blogs on my website, you’ll discover I got a solid A for effort and an A+ for failure for the first three years I tried to build an online fitness business. I tossed $22k of my hard earned savings into a 44 gallon drum, doused it in petrol and topped it with a lit match.

After that disaster, I began freelancing in mid-2018. Back then I didn’t really know what I wanted to do as a freelancer. I only knew I didn’t want to go back to go back to working a 9-5 and playing by someone else's rules. So I had a crack at tonnes of freelancer work - blog writing, website design, Facebook ad management, lead generation, sales emails... to name a few.

You know what I realised?

A successful freelancer doesn't just decide "I want to do X" and it happens.

A successful freelancer decides "I want to do X"...

Then acknowledges it'll take some time to build up their profile and portfolio...

So, they find a skill they're good at and they use it to keep a roof over their head, food on their table while they work behind the scenes on their dream freelance gig.

You just realised where you've been going wrong, didn't you?

Don't worry, I've got your back.

On that note: This course is NOT for you if you’re you’re pacing back and forth, and tearing your hair out wondering how you’ll buy groceries next week. Refocus all of your attention to getting a job that’ll pay your living expenses, then when you’re out of survival mode, come back to me. You cannot build a successful business if you’re worried about keeping the roof over your head.

If there's a roof over your head and food on your table though...

Sign up to 'The Freelance Avalanche' and over the next week, I'll teach you how to:

  • Create a simple service you can sell right away (without setting up a website, creating a new social media profile or even spending a dime);
  • Identify your ideal clients (without spending weeks, months of even years building up your audience); and
  • Sell your services by implementing my Super Simple Selling Strategy (and get a new client on the books within days).

PLUS I’ll share with you the exact strategy I have used to generate a consistent $2-3k per month using LinkedIn. It’s, without a doubt, the most valuable email I have ever written. I may as well just throw you the keys to the Lime Green Mustang I don’t even own yet… it’s that special.

If you’re ready to take the codes to your bank account back out of your boss’ hands and ensure you’re fillin’ that puppy yourself, tap the giant blue button to begin building a solid foundation for your freelance business.
